JOYCE, JAMES C.
Memorial services were held Wednesday in Los Angeles for James C. Joyce, noted choral arranger and singer, who died Friday [May 17, 1974] following a lengthy illness. He was 53. A native of Toledo, Joyce was best known for his work in motion pictures and recording. His film credits include “The Sound of Music,” “Tom Sawyer” and “The Great Gatsby.” He also arranged music for Frank Sinatra, Kay Starr, Nelson Riddle and Ray Conniff.
