ZAVATCHEN, WILLIAM

COCOA – William Noble, 68, a former automobile body repairman, died Friday, March 29 [1991], at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge.

Mr. Noble was born in Leisenring, Pa. He came to Brevard County in 1972 from Miami. He owned Noble’s Body Shop on Merritt Island.

He was a Marine Corps veteran in World War II, serving in the First Raider Battalion at Guadalcanal. He was a member of Merritt Island Moose Lodge and the Marine Raider Association.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia “Gennie” Noble of Cocoa; sons, Kenneth McCluney of Cocoa and Kent Noble of Boaz, Ala.; daughter, Gay Noble of Minneapolis; brother, Paul Zavatchen of Rockledge; and two grandchildren.

Calling is 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, followed by services, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, north of Melbourne. Burial will be in Florida Memorial Gardens.
