WALDORF, ROBERT E.

Robert E. Waldorf, 46, Salem, died Saturday [July 18, 1964] while fishing off the coast of Pacific City, apparently from a heart attack.

Waldorf, a late resident of 6061 Wetzel Road SE, in the Turner area, had lived in the Salem area for the past 18 years, moving here from Illinois. He was born at Detroit, Mich.

Waldorf served with the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific during World War II.

He had been employed as a carpenter here, and was a member of Carpenters Local Union No. 1065.

Survivors include the widow, Loretta; two sons, Robert E. Waldorf Jr., Newport, R.I. and Arthur L. Waldorf, Salem; two brothers, Arthur L. and Lewis Waldorf, both in California; and a sister in Michigan.

Funeral services are pending at the Virgil T. Golden Mortuary.
