VREEKE, ROBERT W.

Robert W. Vreeke, 48, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died Sunday afternoon [February 4, 1973] at Veterans Hospital, Wood, Wis.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Keith Haag will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Vreeke, was born March 29, 1924, at Manitowoc, son of the late William and Sadie Horstman Vreeke. He was graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1942 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He married Dorothy Pagel Oct. 16, 1948, at Manitowoc. Mr. Vreeke had been employed at Aluminum Specialty Co., Manitowoc, for more than 30 years and was presently a shop foreman.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Robert and Michael, of Manitowoc, a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Pam) Baird, of Manitowoc; four brothers, Arthur, Donald and James, of Manitowoc, and William, of Billingham, Wash., and a granddaughter. A daughter preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday and then at the church until the time of service.
