Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort, is in charge. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Albert and Tessie Edelstein Vincent, he died June 19, 2004. Surviving: wife, Anna Evansky Vincent; children; sister; grandchildren.

Historian’s note: Emanuel M. Vincent’s real name was Edwin A. Vincent. He used his brother’s birth certificate when he enlisted in the USMC at the age of 17.
