Earl Lewis Tufts, 78, of Pembroke Pines, FL, a 37-year South Florida resident coming from Pittsfield, MA, died Saturday, October 3, 1998. A U.S. Marine combat wounded veteran and U.S. Post Office letter carrier. Survived by wife, Keiko; son, Earl Tufts, Jr., of Sunrise; daughter, Kathy Silver of Coral Springs and Rose Tufts of Pembroke Pines; brother, Ed Tufts of Daytona Beach; sister, Lois Maher of Merritt Island; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral service 5:30 PM, Tuesday, with Father Jim Vitucci of Saint Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church, officiating at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens Home, 6301 Taft Street, where friends may call from 4-6 PM, Tuesday. Cremation by Fred Hunter Crematory.
