TAYLOR, GLENN F.

HIGHMORE – Funeral for Glenn Franklin Taylor, 60, who died Sunday [June 26, 1977] in Hand County Memorial Hospital, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Arthur Schmitt officiating. Interment will be in the Highmore City Cemetery.

Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Hurd-Luze Funeral Home.

Taylor was born Nov. 6, 1916 to Byron and Frances Taylor at Highmore. He lived his entire life in Van Order Township, except for three years serving with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942-45. After returning home he farmed and ranched here. In 1947, he married Ella Knittel.

Survivors include his widow; four sons, Glenn E., Franklin, Joe, and Robert, all at home; three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Francis) Vandel, Custer, Mrs. Leonard (Pauline) Wipf, Huron, and Ella Taylor, Vermillion; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
