SUMMERS, WILLIAM P., JR.

William P. Summers, age 68, of rural Prescott, WI, on May 22 [1991]. Survived by wife, Helen Ann; daughters, Suzanne Summers Filbin, Sally Summers and Angel Luetke; sons, Steven Luetke and John Luetke; grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Luetke; brother, Robert D. Summers; also many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family & friends. Prayer service at Caturia Funeral Home Chapel, 201 East 7th St., Hastings, 10:30 a.m. Sat., with visitation ½ hour prior. Interment National Cemetery 12 noon Sat. Bill was born May 17, 1923 in Des Moines, IA, and moved to Minneapolis in 1938. 1941 graduate of Washburn High School, Minneapolis. Joined Marine Corps August 1942 and served with the 4th Marine Raider Battalion and 3rd Marine Division in Solomon Islands and invasion of Guam. Attended Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH and U. of M. Formerly employed by Graybar Electric Co. and Viking Electric Supply Co. Memorials to donor’s choice.
