STABLEY, DONALD E.
JERSEY SHORE – Funeral services will be held here tomorrow for a Clinton County native and former resident of Jersey Shore, Donald E. Stabley, 44, more recently of Corning, N.Y.
Mr. Stabley died last Friday [August 22, 1969] at the Veterans Hospital in Bath, N.Y.
He was born June 5, 1925, in Loganton, and had had military service in both the Second World War and the Korean Conflict. For the past 18 years he had been an inspector at the Corning Glass Works.
Mr. Stabley was a member of the Wesleyan Church at Morris, the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Wellsboro, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Audinwood; two sons, David, of Memphis, Tenn.; and Rodney, Wellsboro; two daughters, Dawn, Wellsboro; and Sandra, Sayre; two stepsons, Dennis and Richard Audinwood, Corning; and three stepdaughters, Misses Diane, Joanne, and Debra Audinwood, all of Corning; and one grandchild.
Brothers and sisters are: Bruce, Williamsport; Meryl, Mrs. Kathryn Reading, and Mrs. Edward Motter, all of Jersey Shore; Mrs. Jack Sanders, Mrs. Charles Ferringer, and Mrs. Ralph Keeler, all of Williamsport; Mrs. Joseph Palski, Jersey Shore R.D. 1, and Mrs. Grace Kissell, Rauchtown.
