SLATTERY, THOMAS J.
BARNEVELD – Thomas J. Slattery, 46, of Mapledale Road, died today [January 5, 1968] in Veterans Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.
Mr. Slattery, a machinist with Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co. for the past 18 years, was born in New Hartford, the son of Thomas and Gertrude Whitaker Slattery. He attended Utica schools and came to Barneveld in 1950.
He served during World War II in the Pacific Theater with the Marines.
In 1945, he married Rita C. Lessard in Sanford, Me.
Mr. Slattery was a member of St. Leo’s Church, Holland Patent.
Besides his wife, he leaves his mother, of Utica; two sons, James P. and Michael R., both at home; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Gertrude) Smith of Kirkland.
Funeral arrangements by the Pritchard-Koerner Funeral Home, Holland Patent, were incomplete.
