SIMPSON, KENNETH H.

Kenneth H. Simpson, 72, died March 30, 1996 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, AZ. A Memorial Service presented by Pastor Mitch Wright at 9:00 a.m. at Enchanted Hills Southern Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ. Ken is survived by wife, Vera E. (Poole); sons, Kenneth Greg (Anna), Edwin Glenn (Arlene), Garrett, Gordon Blake (Sue); and daughter, Tanna E. Simpson; grandsons, Jamey, Brent, and Corey (C.J.); granddaughters, Jenny and Amanda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ervin (Mae), George, James E. (Faye), Dolph (Aline), Gene (Noma Faye), Jack (Peggy), Ronnie (Janice); sisters and brothers-in-law, Madge Simpson, Kathleen Williams, Nell (Tom) Meyers, Jane (Nobel) KinKade, Delores (Russell) Spenser, Joann (Charles) Rice, Pat (Val) Klunk, Gayla Sue (David) Giacone; sister-in-law by marriage, Shirley (Galon) Gravot, Darla (Richard) Nielsen, and Daisey Simpson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Robert, and Howard; brothers-in-law, Eddie Ray Williams and Donald Poole; sisters-in-law, Helen and Ruby. Born in Franklin County, IL. Ken graduated from West Frankfort High School. Ken served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He was a recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. Formerly of Lisle, IL, he was a quality control manager and machine specialist for 38 years at (Hot Point) General Electric. Retirement brought Ken and Vera to Tucson Estates in 1987 where the avid gardener and fisherman enjoyed six wonderful years with his loving wife Vera.
