SHEMOSKI, JOSEPH P.

Joseph P. Shemoski, 91, of Belleville, Illinois, born Thursday, January 29, 1925, in East Saint Louis, IL, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, Illinois.

Joseph worked as an Inspector for Consolidated Aluminum Corporation, Madison, IL. He was a member of the Yorktown Senior Golf League and a United States Marine Veteran serving in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn (nee Walker) Shemoski; 4 sisters; 1 brother.

Surviving are his children: Becky (Gary) Wilson of Waterloo, IL, Rick (Lori) Shemoski of Palos Park, IL, Sandra (Jim) Landress of Castle Berry, FL; 7 grandchildren: Ryan Wilson, Brooke Wilson, Megan Wilson, Paige (Mike) Stryczek, Amanda (Mike) Miranda, Erin (Dennis) Hawes, Lauren (Eric) Royer; 6 great-grandchildren: Fiona Wilson, Ava Stryczek, Brayden Stryczek, Emma Miranda, Jaxson Miranda, Audrey Hawes.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 25, 2016 at Kurrus Funeral Home. Family interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
