SHELLENBERGER, WAYNE E.

CANYON LAKE – Wayne Earl Shull, 81, died of natural causes Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.

Born June 15, 1925, in Onawa, Iowa, he lived in Canyon Lake for 18 years. He lived in Vista for 20 years previously. He was a pharmacist’s mate second class in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Shull is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary E. Shull of Canyon Lake; sons and daughter-in-law Harry Shull of Las Vegas, Greg Shull of Carlsbad, and Tom and Rosemary Shull of Vista; daughters and son-in-law Lori and Mark Bentley of San Marcos and Shelly Shull of Canyon Lake; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be celebrated at noon today, Feb. 23, at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Sun City. Private inurnment is planned.

Evans-Brown Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Historian’s note: Wayne E. Shellenberger changed his surname to Shull following World War II.
