Washington, Aug. 6—(AP)—The Navy today announced 74 casualties, including 30 dead, 27 wounded and 17 missing.

This brings to 27,949 the total of Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard casualties reported to next of kin since December 7, 1941. The grand total includes 8,889 dead, 4,914 wounded, 9,987 missing and 4,159 prisoners of war.

The casualties announced today (those listed as Navy and non-commissioned personnel unless otherwise specified) included:

Oklahoma–Harley B. Seaton, Marine. Dead [July 10, 1943]. Mother, Mrs. Esther M. Seaton, 611 North Robinson Street, Oklahoma City.
