SCHULZ, WILLIAM F., JR.
The body of Marine Corp. William F. Schulz, Jr., who was killed in action July 21, 1944, on Guam, will arrive Wednesday morning for services in the Hill & Fredericks Chapel at 3 p.m. Thursday, followed by burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Upon arrival in Davenport, the body will be taken to the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Schulz, 1622 West Eighth Street, where it remain until it is removed to the mortuary chapel Thursday morning.
Corp. Schulz was born in Davenport, May 25, 1923, was graduated from Davenport High School and attended the American Institute of Commerce. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in January, 1943, and went to San Diego for his training. He served with the Carlson Raiders and was killed in an attack on Guam at the age of 21. He was of Lutheran faith.
Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Robert LeRoy Schulz, attending the State University of Iowa, and a grandmother, Mrs. Maria Schulz, Davenport.
