SCHRADER, CECIL G., JR.
Cecil G. “Bob” Schrader Passed away peacefully at home on July [9], 2016. Born March 29, 1925 Hattiesburg MS, Bob joined the USMC after high school graduation, serving in WWII. The Purple Heart and more were awarded to him for his service overseas. He graduated from Mississippi Southern after recovering from his war injuries and earned his master’s in Madison, WI. Bob had a wonderful life devoted to his family. He found great peace throughout his life through his faith in God. As a teacher and a technical writer, his career with Martin Marietta and Westinghouse put him on an international adventure. Career afforded travel around the world, Morocco, Iran, Ireland, and Scotland. Bob enjoyed reading, puzzles, sudoku and bridge. As an adventurer and explorer he loved life and had the “happy gene.” Bob was an amazing story teller who never met a stranger. Preceded in death by Betty, his wife of 50 years, and his only son, Gerald. Bob is survived by his only daughter, Wanda S. Andrews (Jim); his grandsons, Wesley, and William Davis (Lindsey); great-grandchildren, Margo and Oliver; his sister, Elizabeth “Anne” Davis and brother, John Harris,; his second wife of 11 years, Joyce Plumley; 4 step children: Howard (Jan), Jere (Barb), Jim (Diane) Plumley, Joy (Paul) Caldwell; 6 step grandchildren; and 9 step great-grandchildren. He loved all of them unconditionally. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church of Clermont.
