SALZMAN, JEROME N.
Jerome N. Salzman, 89, passed away in Wellington, FL, where he lived with his daughter, Michelle, on March 8, 2013. He was born in New York City to the late Bertha and Joseph Salzman and was a longtime resident of Atlantic City, where he was in the hotel business. A veteran of the Israel War of Independence, he was granted Israeli citizenship. Prior to serving in Israel, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II, where he earned a Purple Heart and was a Marine boxing champion. Most of all, he was a very gentle, compassionate man of great integrity and strength whose love, thoughtfulness and countless good deeds helped many people throughout his life. Predeceased by his parents and his brother, Bernie; Jerome is survived by his loving children, Michelle Nelson and Lester Salzman, both of Wellington, FL; beloved grandchildren, Bradley and Jason Salzman and Aspen and Ethan Nelson; loving brothers, Donald and Rinata Salzman of Margate and Dr. Albert and Charlotte Salzman of Boca Raton, FL; along with nieces, Leslie, Dayna, Stacy, Holly and Jill and nephews, Warren and Jeff. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 11th, at 11 a.m., at Beth Kehillah Cemetery in Egg Harbor Twp. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerome’s memory may be made to the charity of choice.
