RYAN, JERRY C.
Jerry Clyde Ryan, 88, of Sun City West, AZ., was born in Muscatine, IA on Nov. 29, 1921, and died on Apr. 5, 2010 in Sun City, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Surviving is his wife, Lillian C. Ryan; a son, Michael Ryan; daughters, Tracy (Mike) Wissman, and Gail Ryan; two grandchildren Jacob (Tina) Umlauf, and Stephanie (Tim) Bradley; a sister-in-law Violet Ryan, 3 nieces and 3 nephews. While in the Marines, he served with Carlson’s Raiders in the South Pacific during WWII. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, eventually retiring as the Comptroller for Bagdad Copper Co., which became Standard Oil Co., at Bagdad, AZ. He was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, and a Past Master of Bagdad Masonic Lodge #54, and Past Commander of Legion of Honor, El Zaribah Shrine. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and Eastern Star, a member of Amarnath and the High Twelve. Interment will be at 1:30 PM Thurs. 4/15/2010 at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek, Phoenix, AZ. A Memorial Service will be at 12:00 PM Friday, 4/23/2010 at the Sun City Masonic Fellowship Center, 18810 N. 107th Ave, Peoria, AZ. Donations may be made to the Eastern Star Scholarship Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Golden Door Chapel, Youngtown. AZ.
