RIEGEL, JAMES E.

The body of James Riegel, who was killed Nov. 1, 1943, while serving with the Marine Raiders on Bougainville, will arrive in Tucson Saturday.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bring’s Chapel, with the Rev. J. C. Cording of the Palo Verde Baptist Church officiating. A high school quartet, directed by Miss Madge Utterback, will sing. The Marine Reserve unit will conduct graveside services in the VFW plot of South Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be members of Post No. 549, VFW.

A graduate of Tucson High School, Mr. Riegel was attending the University of Arizona when he entered service. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Riegel, and two brothers, George and Jack. The family, now located in Santa Rita, N.M., will be in Tucson for the services. Tucson survivors are two uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Homer J. Riegel and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Riegel.
