REYNOLDS, HAROLD C.
Harold C. Reynolds, son of Annis and Pearl Reynolds was born June 25, 1923, in Lenox and was killed in the invasion of Bougainville Island on November 9, 1943, at the age of 20 years, four months and 14 days. He was a graduate of Lenox High School in the class of 1941. Harold enlisted in the United States Marines January 13, 1943.
He is survived by his mother and father, two brothers, Gerald of Long Beach, Calif., and Robert and three sisters, Betty Holben, Virginia and Evelyn, many other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral service was held at the Methodist Church at 2:30 Sunday and was in charge of Rev. C. W. Richardson. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Rollie Bender, Mrs. Eugene Paymal, Mr. James Arneal and Mr. Paul Davis. They were accompanied by Mrs. A. H. Peacock. The local American Legion post was in charge of graveside ceremonies.
