PENMAN, STUART, JR.
Stuart Penman Jr., 54, of 114 E. Cooke Ave., Glenolden, an employee of Westinghouse Electric Corp., was stricken after leaving work Tuesday [January 14, 1975] and was pronounced dead on arrival at Taylor Hospital, Ridley Park.
Born in Waynesboro, Mr. Penman moved to Delaware County 52 years ago and lived four years at his late residence.
He was employed 34 years as a toolmaker at Westinghouse’s Power Generation Division, Tinicum.
He served with the Marines during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 507 of Norwood.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Kirkpatrick; a son, S. Kirk Penman of Prospect Park; two daughters, Karen Penman, at home, and Mrs. Kim Hudome of Folcroft; three brothers, James and Roy, both of Norwood, and Edward of Tinicum.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cavanagh Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Concord.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Cardiac Unit of Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland.
