PARDUE, MILES A.
Miles Andrew Pardue was born July 26, 1920 in Winston-Salem, NC to Miles Andrew & Pearl Victoria Pardue.
He passed away May 20, 2012 in Dallas, TX.
Miles was a charter member and deacon at Edgemont Park Baptist Church.
Miles served as a Marine during World War II. He was a member of Edson’s Raiders, 1st Platoon and fought numerous battles consisting of: Tulagi, Tasimboko, Edson’s Ridge, Matanikau, Enogai, and Bairoko.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Cleo Nelson and Vivian Felts; brother, Audrey Pardue; and granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Russell.
Miles is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Betty Pardue; daughters, Pam Russell & husband Bill and Rosemary Bruner & husband Richard; son, Andy Pardue & wife Christy; grandchildren: Erin Russell, Dylan Russell, Lacey Jordan & husband Mark, Jordan Bruner, Colin Pardue, Jacob Pardue, Grace Pardue; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Kiser officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, TX.
