ORIBILETTI, BRUNO
Somewhere in the South Pacific—(AP)—Marine Pfc. Bruno Oribiletti, 23, of Kenosha, Wis., knocked out two Jap tanks with his bazooka before he was killed [July 22, 1944] by a third tank at Guam.
At Mount Alifan, Oribiletti was on the forward line when three Jap tanks advanced. When the tanks were 30 yards away, Oribiletti fired at the first, putting it out of action. With another shot he stopped the second. Preparing to fire at the third, he was killed by a shell from its 37 millimeter gun.
