ONSTAD, WILLIAM J.

William J. Onstad, age 91, passed away on March 28, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 13, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Joseph and Mabel Onstad. William was a Sergeant Marine Raider in WWII for the United States Marine Corps and received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart for his honorable service to this country. Services were held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Houston National Cemetery in the presence of his surviving family and friends with Marine Honors, VFW Honors, and a horse-drawn caisson. We will be in company by those who have gone before him and those who will follow. He will be missed.
