NODLAND, FRANKLIN M.

MARSHALLTOWN, IA. – Pvt. Franklin M. Nodland, 19, a Marshalltown youth who enlisted in the Marine Corps last December, has been killed in action [August 17, 1942], according to official word received here. Nodland, a high school graduate, was the son of Frank Nodland of Marshalltown and Mrs. Willard See of Colo, Ia. A brother and two sisters also survive.
