Corp. Niels P. Nielsen, killed in action at Guam, July 21, 1944, beloved son of Niels and Elfie, fond brother of Marie, Donna and Lynne, grandson of Hilda Olsen.

Remains at funeral home, 5308 Belmont Avenue, until 11 a.m., Thursday, May 26. Lying in state at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Bernice and Lamon Avenue, from noon until time of service, 2 p.m.

Military honors by Portage Park Post 183 American Legion.

Niels was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.
