MUNSON, EVERETT F.
Everett Francis (Bud) Munson, 60, 1029 E. 18th St., Stuart, died Tuesday [June 6, 1983] at his home.
A Masonic service will be conducted Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Aycock Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart by the Acacia Lodge 163, F&AM. Friends may call at the Aycock Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today. Those who wish may make contributions to the Shriners’ Crippled Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 25356, Tampa, Fla. 33623.
Munson, a native of Piper City, Ill., moved to Stuart five years ago from Manistique, Mich.
Prior to his retirement, he was a plumber with Hoholik Brothers in Manistique for 20 years. During World War II, he served as a platoon sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was one of the original members of the 2nd [Battalion] of the Carlson Raiders and helped organize the 5th Division of the Carlson Raiders[?]. He was a member of the Vandalia Lodge 290 F&AM, Vandalia, Mich.; O.E.S. 235, Vandalia; and VFW 10066, Jensen Beach.
Survivors include his wife Marion of Stuart; two sons, James Munson of Paradise, Calif., and Mark Munson of Houston; one daughter, Sandra Lake of Hobe Sound; his mother, Lucille Munson of Howe, Ind.; two brothers, Eugene Munson of Waukegan, Ill., and Delbert Munson of Capitola, Calif.; five sisters, Betty Oakley of Howe, Ind., Shirley Hart and Dorothy Nelson, both of LaGrange, Ind., Carol Wagaman of Mendon, Mich., and Goldie Hummell of Goshen, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
