MILLER, JACK E.

Jack Eldon Miller was born November 23, 1923, and passed away August 23, 2009, surrounded by his loved ones. Jack was born in Wichita, Kansas, then migrated to Pasadena, CA with his family. He settled in San Diego in 1946. He served in the Marines’ 1st Raider Battalion during World War II. Shortly thereafter, Jack married the love of his life Yvonne (Bonnie) and they were married 55 years until Bonnie passed. Jack was a very active member and a Past Master of East San Diego Masonic Lodge #561. He was very proud of his work in crime prevention with the Sheriff’s Department. Jack’s greatest joy was hunting and camping with his family. He enjoyed acting with the Script in Hand Players, and loved a good game of Texas Hold’em. He is survived by his brother, Bruce Miller of Santee; daughter Lynn Crane of Santee; son, Jack W. Miller of Crest; grandchildren Neil, Amy, Gage and Cody; and five great-grandchildren. Jack did not wish to have a public memorial service, but we know he was loved by all who knew him and that he will be dearly missed.
