MENEFEE, GARLAND W.

Garland Menfee, 47, Aurelia, died suddenly Sunday [June 2, 1968] at his farm home near Aurelia.

He was born at Aurelia on Dec 30, 1920 and was graduated from the Aurelia High School in 1939. During World War II he served with the Sixth Marine Division and was awarded the Bronze Star.

On Mar. 15, 1947 he was married to Vera Erdman at Nashua, la. He had farmed near Aurelia and was associated with Woltman Real Estate, Cherokee.

Survivors are: His wife, Vera; his mother, Mrs. Mary Menefee and one brother, Clifford, all of Aurelia.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. on Wednesday from the Congregational United Church of Christ, Aurelia, with Rev. Z. M. Bressler officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia, Wharton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
