MEISTER, ARMIN H.

Pfc. Armin Harry Meister, age 19, passed away Nov. 25, 1943 from wounds received in action during the Bougainville operation while serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Pfc. Meister was born in Oshkosh, Wis. on July 9, 1924. He served with the Headquarters Co., 2nd Marine Raider Battalion, was with the Carlson Raiders and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Armin Meister and a sister, Mrs. Yvonne Zeigenhagen, all of Racine. Christian Science services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the H. H. Hall Home for Funerals, 700 Villa St. Burial will be in World War II Memorial Plot, Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at the H. H. Hall Home for Funerals Tuesday evening. The U.S. Marine Corps will conduct military services at the grave.
