MCCOY, WADE C.

Wade C. “Mike” McCoy, 66, 612 Ralph, died Sunday [November 27, 1983] at Asbury Hospital.

He was born April 13, 1917, in Arkansas, and had lived in Salina since 1978. He had also lived in Ames, Iowa, and Omaha, Neb, and was a retired architect and structural engineer. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Salina and the Elks Lodge in Hoxie and was a Marine veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Betty A., of the home; two daughters, Erin Arellano and Anna Anderson, both of Omaha; a son, Brian, Omaha; two step-daughters, Carol Sophy, Kansas City, Mo.; and Coleen Smith, Panama; three step-sons, Wallace L. Pope, Wichita; John Pope and Steve Pope, both of Hoxie; arid 16 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunrise Presbyterian Church, the Rev. William McGaughy officiating. The body will be cremated.

The Bigge-Moose Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests memorials to the Saline County Heart Fund.
