MAYHE, LEWIS

Lewis Mayhe, 54, of RD 2, Russell, died in Warren General Hospital at 3:05 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 1977, after a four-month illness. He was born in London, England, on Aug. 27, 1912, and came to the United States in 1921, living in the Russell area since 1945. He retired from the National Forge two years ago, where he had been employed since 1956. He was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1936 to 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Kahle Mayhe, on Nov. 11, 1958.

Surviving are two sisters-in law, Mrs. Earl (Mildred) Glotz, Russell, and Mrs. Grace Oviatt, Irvine; six nieces and three nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Tuesday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Deryl Larsen, Epworth United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
