MANWARING, HOWARD E.
Pfc. Howard Earl Manwaring, USMC, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Manwaring, Vernal, was killed on Okinawa, April 15 [1945].
He was born in Vernal, Dec. 26, 1924, and was graduated from Uintah High School. He entered the [Marine Corps] in July, 1943, and went overseas in December. He was a veteran of Rabaul and Guam.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Capt. A. Everett Manwaring, Germany, and Lt. Carl H. Manwaring, Fort Belvoir, Va., and two sisters, Mrs. Iris Epperson and Mrs. Enid Sherman, Vernal.
Memorial services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in Vernal Second LDS ward chapel by Phillip Watkins, bishop.
