MALOUGHNEY, FRANCIS T.

The funeral of Marine Pfc. Francis T. Maloughney, 21, son of Mrs. Nellie C. Baker, who was killed in action on July 21, 1944, on Guam, will be conducted from the Edward F. Gaynor Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Rites will follow at 9 a.m. in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The body will arrive in Syracuse Friday.

Pfc. Maloughney attended Vocational High School and entered the service Oct. 5, 1942. Following basic training at Parris Island, S.C., he was sent overseas.

Survivors, besides his mother, are a sister, Mrs. Samuel Insoul; three brothers, Robert F. of Richmond, Va., John J. of Oneida, and James of Fitchburg; an aunt, Mrs. Philip Faulkner; and an uncle, Robert Maloughney, both of Syracuse.
