LOVELAND, DARRELL A.
BRIGHAM CITY – Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Darrell “Sarge” Ault Loveland, 93, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on May 4, 1923, in Deweyville, Utah, a son of Duett Faulkner and Emma Matilda Ault Loveland.
Sarge graduated from Bear River High School. He received his honorary diploma, June 2004.
Sarge served in the United States Marine Corps, in the South Pacific, as a member of the Carlson’s Second Raider Battalion, during World War II and he retired in 1975. He worked and retired from the DDO as a railroad conductor.
Darrell married Marilyn Spark Joyce Ransom on November 23, 1946, in Tremonton, Utah. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2008. Darrell married Elenor M. Quintana Archuleta on July 7, 2015, in Brigham City, Utah.
Sarge was involved in the Boy Scouts, Boy State/Nation, American Legion, Eagles Aerie, VFW and the Elks.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, trap shooting, snowmobiling, traveling, gambling, and spending time with his family, friends and his veteran buddies.
Surviving are his wife, Elenor; four children: M. Judy Loveland, Salt Lake City; Stephanie (Danny) Jones, Brigham City; Michelle Archuleta, Brigham City; Justin (Amy) Archuleta, Logan; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gary D. Loveland, Brigham City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Joyce Spark, his brother, J. Robert Loveland and one sister, Mildred Jean Richardson.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E. 200 S., Brigham City, Utah.
Viewings will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton, Utah, where military honors will be accorded by the Box Elder County Combined Military Honor Guard.
