LOGAN, EDWARD O.
Edward O. Logan, born in Lafayette, LA on January 12, 1924, died April 28, 2002. The son of Lawrence and Anna Villere Logan. Graduated from Lafayette Senior High School, attended USL, now UL. Enlisted in the Marine Corps upon graduation from high school where he served in the 4th Marine Raider Battalion. Received 2 Purple Hearts for wounds incurred during action in the South Pacific. After honorable discharge from the Marine Corps enlisted in the Air Force and served in Japan as Air Traffic Controller. Also serve as Air Traffic Controller in Anchorage, Alaska, Hobby International Airport, retiring from Houston International as Air Traffic Control Supervisor. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Dolen Logan, grandchildren, Holly Hefti and Kyle Logan, great-grandson, Jeffery Brent Hefti; brother, Thomas W. Logan of Lafayette, LA, four nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Mark Logan; and one brother, Lawrence V. Logan. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2002 at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2002 at Earthman Resthaven with Rite of Committal to follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
