LEMKE, EDGAR H.
Edgar H. Lemke, 49, of 431 E. Park St., died of an apparent heart attack at 12:30 a.m. today [March 31, 1973]. Mr. Lemke was under the care of a physician for heart trouble for the last six years.
He died at 136 Bunn St., property which he owned and rented. He was reportedly called to the Bunn Street property to take care of a plumbing problem.
Mr. Lemke, a retired chauffeur, was a former resident of New Douglas. He was born April 23, 1923, in Grand Fork, N. D., son of the late Jacob and Anna Teaaves Lemke.
He was married to Alta King on April 2, 1949, in Evansville, Ind. His wife survives.
Also surviving are a son, Richard Lemke, daughters, Beverly Lemke and Pamela Lemke, all at home, a brother, Donald Lemke of New Lenox, and sisters, Mrs. Frieda Lemke of Visalia, Calif., Mrs. Pearl Steed of Chicago, and Mrs. Wilma Heslinga and Mrs. Marie Reichhold, both of Wheaton.
A sister preceded Mr. Lemke in death.
Mr. Lemke was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Edwardsville and of the First Baptist Church in Alhambra.
Friends may call at the Dauderman Funeral Home, Alhambra, after 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alhambra.
