LEE, ALLEN J.

Allen Joseph Lee passed away at East Jefferson Hospital at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the age of 86. He was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA. Mr. Lee worked for Hotard and Webb(Civil Engineers), Delerno’s Restaurant, Lee’s Cleaners, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was a decorated Marine earning a Purple Heart for wounds received on Guam during WWII.

Beloved husband of the late Helen Delerno Lee for over 62 years. Loving father of James F. and Sandra A. Lee. Father-in-law of Florence I. Lee and the late Robert A. Kahrs. Son of the late Felicie ‘Birdie’ Casey and James Finley Lee. Brother of the late Finley, Raymond, Stanley, Gerald, Jenny, and Chuck’(Calvin Paul) Lee. Cousin of the late Lillian Zinzer Gulliver. Step-grandfather of Yvette K. Breaux, Jeffery D. Kahrs, and Kathy Getz. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
