LASCH, ALBERT G.

LODI – Albert G. Lasch, 79, of Lodi, died Friday, June 3 [1994], at Medina General Hospital, after a four-month illness.

He was born in 1914 in Milwaukee, Wis., to Gustav and Mary (Cox) Lasch and married Alma Pickering. She survives.

He had served with the U.S. Marine Corps at the U.S. Embassy in China prior to World War II and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He had made his home in Strongsville, before moving to Lodi 13 years ago and was a police officer for 30 years with the Cleveland Police Department. Much of those 30 years was with the Mounted Unit. He retired in 1975.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Cleveland, the Retired Policemen’s Association and the Chatham VFW.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Jerry of Columbia Station; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

One brother, Robert, died previously.
