KROG, GERALD W.

Gerald W. Krog died Feb. 20, 2005. He was a former Prineville resident.

He was born on Aug. 5, 1924, to parents William and Agnes (Parker) Krog in Bend.

He lived in Prineville most of his childhood.

He died in Salem.

Mr. Krog graduated from Crook County High School in 1942. He served as a [Raider] with the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

After his service, he returned to Prineville. On April 27, 1948, he married Velda Moore in Bend. She preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 2003.

Mr. Krog was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Elks and the Masons.

Gerald is survived by: his daughters CandisO’Rear and her husband Dan of Lorton, Va. and Peggy Woods of Salem; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and Stacey O’Rear, Hannah Woods and Zachary Woods. Services were held Saturday, Feb. 26, at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Arrangements were by the Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
