KINNEY, ROYAL W.
Royal W. Kinney, 52, of 32 N. 22nd St., died Sunday [June 16, 1974] in Leila Hospital after a long illness.
He came to Battle Creek from Kalamazoo in 1965.
Born in Decatur, Kinney had worked for White House Ice Cream Co. and Thomas Solvent Co. as a truck driver.
He served in the Marines in the South Pacific during World War II.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his widow, the former Jean Conrad; sons, Dennis R. Kinney of 190 Post Ave., and Gary and Patrick, both at home; daughters, Mrs. James (Sharon) Curran of 177 Aloha Ave. and Kathleen F., Barbara and Teresa S., all at home; brothers, Max G. Kinney of North Carolina, and Donald of Chicago; sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Genevieve) Hinch of Decatur, and Mrs. Phyllis Kiminsky of Chelsea, and one granddaughter.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with arrangements by the Shaw Funeral Home.
