KINNAMAN, NORVELL L.

Norvell L. Kinnaman, 44, auto salesman, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday [February 17, 1963] at his home, 1917 Connor Avenue, Joplin. He had been ill four years.

Born at Picher in 1918, an a graduate of Grove High School, Kinnaman had resided in Joplin 15 years. He was a veteran of World War II, a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He was among the first Marines sent to England as a commando instructor in World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Kinnaman of the home; three sons, James Kinnaman and Mark Kinnaman of the home, and Max Kinnaman of Whittier, Calif.; a daughter, Miss Tamara Kinnaman of the home; a brother, Max Kinnaman of Joplin; a half-brother, John Thomas of Clay, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. A. L. Dunne, Pawhuska, Okla.; a half-sister, Mrs. Jack Johnson of Fontana, Calif. and his mother, Mrs. Alice Roark, Miami.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist Church, Galena, Kan. Burial will be in the Council House Cemetery 12 miles south of Seneca, under the direction of Kitch-Hurley Funeral Home, Galena.
