KING, STANLEY H.
Stanley H. King, age 86 of 12334 Williamsport Pike, Greencastle, Pa. died at 10:40 P.M. Monday, December 27, 2010 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born September 23, 1924 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late William King and Ethel (Woodbury) King Gunnell.
He was a retired meat cutter having worked for Giant Food in the Washington D.C. area.
He and his wife, Marion M. (Ogle) King, were married March 15, 1950. Stanley was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy and in the Marine Corps Reserves. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed going fishing in his younger years.
Surviving family in addition to his wife are one daughter Denise (wife of John) Cashmere, Greencastle, PA., four sons, Gary (husband of Tina) King, Dale City, VA., John (husband of Kathy) King, Waldorf, MD., Kevin King, Frederick, MD., Ricky (husband of Stephanie) King, Paw Paw, W.VA., eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three sisters in law, Mabel King, Jean Naismith, Marion Gunnell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson Aaron King, five brothers and one sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be held on Monday January 3 at 1:00 P.M. from the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home 45 S. Carlisle St. Greencastle. Burial will be in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 – 1 P.M.
