JULL, JOHN B.
John Bjarne Jull, a Shelton resident for the past 12 years, died of heart failure Tuesday, November 9 [1999], at Mason General Hospital. He was 74.
He was born November 15, 1924 in Aberdeen to Chris and Dagney (Hansen) Jull.
He married Dorothy M. Rodepouch on August 22, 1977.
Mr. Jull served in the U.S. Marine Corps from June 15, 1942 until his discharge on January 8, 1946. He served in the National Guard for five years after his stint in the Marines.
He retired after helping to pioneer cable television service in Grays Harbor County.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Montesano and the U.S. Marine Raider Association.
He enjoyed fishing, clam digging, golfing, taking rides in the country and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Jull of Shelton; son David J. Jull of Aberdeen; stepsons John D. Goodwin of McCleary and Jerry G. Goodwin of Elma; daughters Carol A. Gobat of Montesano, Lisa L. Munson of Spanaway and Kristi B. Maddox of Stockbridge, Georgia; stepdaughters Pam C. Saari of Port Angeles and Shani Goodwin of Yelm; sisters JoAnn Witt of Centralia and Margret Marche of Myrtle Point, Oregon; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Saturday, November 13, at the Shelton Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial was at the McCleary Cemetery.
