JONES, CARLTON M., JR.

JONES – Mr. Carlton M. Jones, age 59 and a resident here for 11 years, died Thursday evening [April 7, 1977] following an illness. He is survived by his wife Myrlin; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Patterson of Ft. Worth and Mrs. Casandra Kammerer of El Paso; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lotus Gartland of Morris, Ill.; his step-mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Jones of Arlington Heights, Ill. Mr. Jones was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Police, Retired Officers Assn. and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam, having over 30 years’ service. Services will be held Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. in the Kirtland Air Force Base East Chapel. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3 p.m. with full military honors. Mr. Jones body will lie in state at the funeral home until noon Tuesday. The family prefers memorials to the Heart Fund, 142 Truman NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, are in charge of arrangements.
