JENSEN, GORDON M.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hansen Chapel for a former Marshfield resident, Gordon M. Jensen, 44, of Marquette, Mich., who died Friday evening [August 1, 1969] at Peshtigo, Wis. Death was due to an apparent heart attack.

The Rev. Virgil Taylor, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate and burial will be made in Hillside Cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Hansen Funeral Home.

Mr. Jensen was born at Marshfield April 9, 1925, and received his education at Marshfield schools. He was married at Sacred Heart Rectory here to Shirley Braem on Oct. 12, 1946.

He had been employed at Roddis Plywood (now Weyerhaeuser) from 1945 to 1958, when he moved to Sparta where he was a lumber inspector for the Western Wisconsin area. In 1967 he moved to Marquette, Mich., where he continued his work as an inspector. He was a veteran of World War II and had served with the Marines in the Pacific.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Thomas Jensen, Madison, David and Jay Jensen, both of Sparta; his mother, Mrs. Chris Jensen, Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Crystal) Hrapek, Chesterton, Ind.; and three brothers, Harold Jensen, La Crosse, William Jensen, Wausau, and Robert Jensen, Sparta.
