IVEY, CLIFTON E.

Two St. Louis brothers, killed in action two weeks apart in widely separated theaters of action during the last war, will be buried side by side at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery next month it was announced today.

The sons of John L. Ivey Sr., formerly of 3132A South Seventh Street, now living on a farm near New Haven, Mo., they were Marine Pfc. Clifton E. Ivey, killed [July 21, 1944] in the South Pacific, and Pfc. Griffin G. Ivey, who fell in France. The bodies were received recently at San Francisco and New York.

Griffin Ivey was a 1938 Golden Gloves champion in the lightweight division. Survivors also include a son and a widow who has since remarried. Another brother, John L. Ivey Jr., lives at 12 Washington Terrace (rear).
