HOLDEN, JACK R.

SANTEE, S.C. – Jack Raymond Holden, 63, of Route 2, Box 26A-2, died Tuesday evening [October 27, 1987] at Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Hospital in Orangeburg.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.

Mr. Holden was born in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Harry N. and Jule Krasevec Holden. He was an electrical engineering graduate of Bradley University, Peoria, Ill. Mr. Holden was a retired I.T.T. executive and a member of the S.C. Archeological Society. He served as a master sergeant in the Marine Raiders in World War II. He had been a resident of Santee-Cooper Resort since 1979.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Carolyn June Hainley “Kelly” Holden of the home; two sons, John Donaldson Holden of Brownsville, Tex., and David Christopher Holden of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Manuel (Sandra Lee) Brown of Rochester, Minn.; and five grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the S.C. Archeological Society or the American Heart Association.
