HIGDON, NATHAN H.
Nathan H. Higdon, 70, of Pensacola died Tuesday, January 31, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Higdon was a native of Athens, Ala., and had been a resident of Pensacola for most of his life. He was a member of the West Pensacola Baptist Church. Mr. Higdon retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Edson’s Raiders First Marine Division.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lee Higdon; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Jim McNeill; son, Charles Higdon; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Laurie Higdon; three grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice Upchurch and Mary Wright; brother, Huston Higdon; three nieces, Betty Brown, Janice Strohm and Cathy Hoover; nephew, Kenneth Upchurch; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Pat Andrews officiating.
Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Randall Holland, Ken Hoyt, Jerral Lewis, Harold Littlejohn, Randy Markham and Eddie Taylor.
