WASHINGTON—(INS)—The Navy today released its casualty list No. 20, covering the period from Dec. 16 to Dec. 31, 1942. The dead, wounded and missing totaled 1,218, the Navy said.

Nearest of kin have been notified.

The list was subdivided into the following classifications:
Dead–418.
Wounded—403.
Missing—397.

The list, the Navy announcement said, brings the total of Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard casualties reported to next of kin from Dec. 7, 1941, to Dec. 31, 1942, inclusive, to a total of 21,497.

Minnesota casualties, as announced are:

Dead, 10; wounded, 5; and missing, 6—total, 21.

Enlisted personnel dead [December 4, 1942]: Albert L. Hermiston, corporal USMC; father, James Hermiston, Coleraine.
